Award winning design that improves everyday life
When Trust Care began in the early 2010s, the assistive‑device market was still dominated by products focused primarily on function – often at the expense of form and appearance. Founder Diego Carloni saw an opportunity to work differently: to start from the user’s everyday life while allowing design to play a greater role in the development process. Over the years, this philosophy has led to a series of international design awards.
An early example of the company’s level of ambition is the outdoor rollator Let’s Fly. The model – introduced with a lower weight and larger front wheels than what had previously been standard – was awarded the prestigious Good Design Award in 2019. Within the industry, the rollator, which has now sold more than 1.5 million units, was regarded as one of the first clear attempts to combine aesthetics and technical improvements in a more integrated way.
Several of the company’s products have since received international recognition. The lightweight aluminium rollator Let’s Shop – featuring smart functions such as a removable inner bag and a built‑in seat in the lid – was awarded the Red Dot Design Award. As the jury noted:
“Let’s Shop convinces as a functional walking aid with sophisticated details that are highly practical.”
The crutch Let’s Twist Again, available in several modern colors, also won a Red Dot Design Award, with the jury stating:
“Thanks to its materials and colors, the crutch conveys a fresh, dynamic and sporty feel.”
The ultra‑light carbon rollator Let’s Be Free has been awarded not just one, but two distinctions – the Red Dot Design Award and the German Brand Award. As the jury for the latter stated:
“The subtle interplay of lightness, technical refinement, and elegant aesthetics makes Let’s Be Free a striking design statement. Harmoniously integrated details, such as the concealed brake cables and the woven seat, emphasize its consistent functionality. The project impresses especially through its distinctive combination of comfort, safety, and independence, giving it outstanding relevance in its field.”
In Trust Care’s new range of furniture and accessories, Let’s Get Up has received attention for its function that helps users rise from a bed or chair. This product too has been awarded a Red Dot Design Award. As the jury commented:
“A highly ergonomic and well‑designed product with an appealing appearance, suitable for a range of applications in care, rehabilitation, or the home.”
