The story of Trust Care begins with resilience and ingenuity. It all started with founder Diego Carloni, inspired by his father Silvano. During World War II, Silvano escaped captivity in the city of Pula, then part of former Yugoslavia, rowing across the Adriatic Sea in a stolen fishing boat.
For three days, he navigated with nothing but a toy compass, painting the boat black at night and white by day to evade patrols. Finally, he reached Rimini, Italy. His determination left a lasting impression on Diego.
Years later, in Malmö, Sweden, Diego faced a different challenge: helping his aging father, now living with Parkinson’s disease, regain independence indoors. One day, while shopping, he noticed a grocery cart and thought, What if this could be transformed into a walking aid? With the store manager’s blessing, Diego took home a worn-out cart with a wobbly wheel.
In a small workshop, Diego had the cart cut, welded, and rebuilt into a sleek four-wheeled walker, wrapping the handle in brown tennis grip for comfort and style. Silvano could walk safely again – and the idea for “Let’s Go” was born.
From that humble prototype grew Trust Care, a family company now led by Diego and his son Christian. Today, their innovative mobility solutions are trusted in more than 35 countries worldwide. What began as a simple act of care has become a global success story.
